SNAGGING TEST: PROTECTING YOUR FABRICS FROM SNAGGING

FABB enthusiastically welcomed the spring season by organizing a Bike Rally that brought together cycling enthusiasts in the picturesque Beskid Śląski Mountains. This event not only promoted a healthy lifestyle and physical activity but also provided an excellent opportunity for team integration.

There are several standard methods for conducting the snagging test. We use the rotating chamber method because it is efficient and simulates real-world fabric usage conditions. This method requires special equipment – a test drum with metal pins that simulate contact with sharp objects. The fabric is placed inside the drum, which is then rotated at a specified speed for a set period. The results are classified according to a set scale, allowing for the comparison of the resistance of different fabrics. Interestingly, green and white fabrics are more resistant to snagging, making them particularly pet-friendly!
